Equal Opportunity Luster

When hanging out with some college friends recently, one friend kept joking about getting a male escort that was big, black and bald. I'd say she has a type. She's even married to a guy that pretty much fits that description.

Another friend seemed to really only be attracted to white guys - at least that's who she flirted with the most while at the night club.

Me? Well, that night I was really into Indian men.

And that's when it hit me. I don't have a type.

When I was explaining this to Jasper, I said, "You know, I'm an equal opportunity..."

I couldn't think of the perfect word when Jasper offered luster.

That's it!

As an equal opportunity luster, I simply can't pinpoint or perfectly describe to someone what or who I find attractive. It's just something that I know.
Sometimes that guy is blond or brunette, white or black or Indian, tall or short, great arms, great ass, facial hair, tats, etc, etc, etc.

Sometimes it's a girl.

I still would never describe myself as bi-sexual. I'm just an admirer of the female form, and, well, sometimes I like to play with girls, too.

Recently we came across a term: bi-playful

Yeah, I think that describes me. There are definitely times when I just really want to be with a girl. I've been jonesing pretty hard for one lately. In fact, I nigh on picked up a girl at a club the other night.

Oopsies!

So, I decided to install the Disqus widget to my blog to facilitate an easier way to encourage a dynamic discussion in the comments.

Unfortunately, when I imported my old comments, it inadvertantly re-sent out all kinds of email notifications of past comments.

I sincerely apologize for unknowingly filling up your Inboxes with old, outdated comments. Please feel free to simply delete and move on.

I hope you'll continue to read and leave comments!

Superhero Sex

I awoke in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep. Jasper had My Super Ex-Girlfriend playing in the background.

As I lied there trying to fall asleep, my thoughts kept turning to...

Which would I prefer  - to be a superhero or to be fucked by a superhero?

I think there are probably pros and cons to both sides. On one hand, it might be nice to be in total control and have so much power. But could I ever be satisfied that way? On the other hand, submission can be fun. Would my superhero lover rock my socks off everytime? Or would it just end up hurting me? Sometimes just having sex with Jasper hurts, so I'm not sure I'd be able to handle sex with a superhero.

What are your thoughts??

And, all you guys out there, do you think you'd be able to "get it up" (to be crude about it) if you were flying so high in the sky with just a beautiful woman holding you?

TMI Tuesday: Regrets

source
REGRETS
1. What was the last thing you regret buying?
A pair of black pumps. They were super cute. Classic. I swear they fit me perfectly in the store, but when I got home, they were simply way.too.big. I bought them specifically for a wedding and suffered through wearing them (I'd bought them at a no-returns store); though, I ended up being barefoot most of the evening. I recently gave them away to my nephew's girlfriend.

2. What was the last sex toy you regret buying?
I guess perhaps the pair of vibrating panties I bought this past Valentine's Day. They did provide some delightful fun while at the restaurant that evening, but ultimately did not work exactly as I'd have liked. I could have created the exact same effect with a bullet we already had at home and normal everyday panties. Alas.

3. Briefly describe a time that you had sex, and you should not have. Why did you do it?
I'd only been dating A a few months. No, I think it may have been over a year. Regardless, I was going home to visit my family. I got a cheaper flight out of a nearby city, so I spent a couple days visiting a friend before flying home. One night we went out to a club. We danced. We partied. We drank. A lot. We ended up going home with the bartender and one of his friends. She spent the night upstairs with the bartender, and I had some amazing sex with the other guy.

The next morning, we vowed not to tell anyone - especially A.

I was too wracked with guilt. I was not nearly as open then as I am now, and A certainly wasn't either. I broke down and told him over IM the next day. What a terrible way to break such devastating news! Anyway, I know I really hurt him. It also made for a bit of a stressful visit home.

Why did I do it? Well, alcohol lowers those inhibitions, I suppose. I just let myself go and enjoy the situation. It only became a regret later.

4. If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
I'm honestly not sure. I had some great times in high school, college. Lots of fun in my 20s. I'm loving my life right. I also know that I have great things in my future. I'm nearly 34 now, but honestly, I think I'd want to stay 38 forever - even though, I'm not there yet. That just seems like a great age. Not too old. Not too young. Plus hopefully we'll be well established living in the Caribbean by then and simply continuing to enjoy life!

5. A good friend’s significant other flirts with you; would you tell your good friend?
I guess it would depend on the intensity of the flirting.

6. What is your greatest professional regret?
Not studying abroad in college. I was accepted into a program, but later decided I couldn't afford it. Now, I think of it as a great missed opportunity. I don't like to think about how it may have affected my life.

Bonus: What is your biggest regret?
I really don't think I have anything that could qualify as a "big regret." I've really tried to live my life the best way I've seen fit, and everything I've done has helped shape me into the person I am today.

Challenge?

Several months ago, I was a great blogger.
Consistent.
Fun.
Sexy.

Then life got in the way. End of the school term. Scuba lessons. Etc. Etc.

Poor Sex Babble kind of got tossed to the wayside.

I haven't really even found the time for HNT or TMI Tuesday. :(

Yesterday was my 1st blogoversary, which I celebrated with a special treat for all of my readers. You really should check it out if you haven't already.

Since it's been so quiet around here, and since I just celebrated my first year, and since my birthday is in exactly 4 weeks from today, I thought today would be a great time to start a challenge to myself to blog a little something every day from now until my birthday.

It could be a simple picture.
Or a video.
A story.
Or a review.
Just a random thought.

Hopefully it will always be a bit sexy.
'Cuz everyone should have at least a little sexy in their day.

Since this will culminate on my special day, I figure I should throw a little party at the end. This is kind of a spur of the moment type of deal, so I'll have to think on this a little. Come up with a plan to really celebrate with all my readers in true Lola fashion. Feel free to send any ideas my way, and I'll try to have more concrete details posted within a week. Sound good?

In the meantime, here's a funny cartoon (probably nothing new, but it made me chuckle).

What a Year!

When I reflect back on 2010, I will always see it as a pivotal year. The beginning of the next chapter of my life. I don't have time right now to break down all the chapters thus far, so I'll leave it at just a new chapter.

This year began with me still very strong in my faith and very active in my church. I worked with the young women at church ages 12-17 in their spiritual journeys trying to impart knowledge and faith. No one could have possibly guessed where this year would end up leading me.

The end of March brought with it a spiritual meltdown. I began questioning my faith. I pulled away from the church, my friends, my family. I leaned more and more on Jasper. A few weeks after this meltdown I came to the realization that it had a lot to do with our inability for me to conceive. After more than four years of doing nothing to prevent it, we are still childless. My little meltdown, and other progressions throughout the year, have really helped me to come to grips with this, with the fact that I may never have the opportunity to be a MILF. Hehe.

Our relationship began changing around the same time. Sexually, and this is going to be hard to believe, I wasn't very responsive to my husband. I was always shooting him down. I would pull away from his touch. I often would say no to his advances. I was never in the mood. Please don't misunderstand. We still had a great sex life. Never were we in a sexless marriage. Perhaps the longest we'd ever gone without sex was maybe two weeks. Far from what I would consider sexless.

One day, he finally had the courage to bring this up. He told me how it made him feel to have me physically pull away whenever he'd reach out to touch me. I, of course, was somewhat oblivious to how my reactions were affecting him. You could say I was dealing with some issues. We talked everything out. It was great. It was actually really freeing to put everything out on the table - his feelings, my feelings.

After that, sex got very much more exciting!

We started talking about it more often. Sharing some of our fantasies. We began fantasizing about other couples at church - talking dirty about them, about things we'd like to do with them, while we were...um...getting busy. It was fantastic.

In July, we decided to give into temptation, and we ordered drinks one night when we were out to dinner. Neither of us had consumed any alcohol in over seven years. Mmm...they tasted so good. It was really nice to just relax together. The people watching was so fun, too. (We were outside on a patio.) We love people watching - especially downtown Minneapolis after a Twins game.

In July, I also started Sex Babble with this post. We were talking so much more about sex that I wanted to share some of my thoughts with others. I wanted to talk about sex, but I knew I couldn't do it on any of my current blogs. Sex Babble was pretty slow going the first couple of months. I was pretty unsure of my writing, and I wasn't really finding the time.

Throughout all this, Jasper and I continued trying to figure out our place spiritually as well. I still don't really know exactly where I stand with all that. He tends to give way more thought to God, religion, theology, spiritual matters than I do. I'm totally okay with this. It's just not something on which I choose to put a lot of my focus. At this time. Someday this may change again, but for now, my focus is more on pleasure and discovering who I am sensually, sexually. I'm focusing on developing a strong love of myself as well.

At the end of September, I was released from my responsiblities working with the young women at church. Not because of anything I was doing outside of church. No one stumbled upon this blog or anything. It was just time for me to move on and someone else to take over. It was actually very good timing for me.

After months of fantasizing about incorporating others into our sex life, we finally hooked up with another guy in October. You can read about that experience here. I remember how absolutely alive I felt the next day! Despite being sick and hung-over from drinking a little too much, and despite not remembering a lot of the fucking, the overall feeling was one of euphoria!

In October, I also participated for the first time in HNT. This has been just a wonderful experience for me. I've always had some self-image issues, but the comments I get on my HNT pictures have been so delightful. They've helped me to see my imperfect body as beautiful, so THANK YOU to everyone who has ever commented. You've done wonders for my ego. :">

In November, I took my very first picture of myself in the bathroom at work. I emailed said picture to an online friend, and shortly thereafter OPW was born. I've discovered how much I enjoy taking and sharing pictures of body, my panties.

November also brought with it many more followers, many more online friends. I started chatting and exchanging emails. I've enjoyed this so much. Everyone I've met is so different. Enticing and pushing me to explore myself, to open, to share.

December rolled in with our first swingers party and the realization that my sister has been in the lifestyle for ten years! You can read about that here. We also met F & S at that party and had such an amazing experience with them, as described here, here, and here. Yeah, so amazing it took 3 posts to describe it all! We're really looking forward to playing with them some more in 2011!

All-in-all, I couldn't have asked for a better year! So full of fun and exciting changes. I'm looking forward to 2011, to exploring and developing myself even more, to seeing where this blog will continue to take me.

Once again, thanks to everyone who reads (and comments or emails)! I hope you continue to journey with me in 2011.

Happy New Year!
